My entry into the world of cloud began in August 2023... March 5th 2024

My entry into the world of cloud began in August 2023, I was accepted into a Platforms Academy at a Software company in Belfast. During this academy we had an intense 8 week crash course covering various areas such as Azure, AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and more. Coming from a tech support role was challenging and I had to learn quickly on the job, which consisted of many late nights and endless amounts of coffee. But with persistence and an endeavour to become a highly skilled Platform Engineer I was successful in completing the academy and started on my first cloud project.
